YEREVAN. – Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan on Thursday received German Ambassador Reiner Morell, and German Bundestag (Parliament) member Karl Lamers, who was the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.  

They discussed Armenian-German bilateral cooperation and Armenia-NATO collaboration, informed the Armenia MOD press service.

The German side expressed gratitude to Armenia for maintaining the dynamics for the development of a bilateral cooperation of mutual interest, and also noted the importance of a partner such as Armenia for NATO.   

In the context of regional security issues, Ohanyan reiterated the Armenian party’s stance, according to which talks are the only way to settle conflicts and any forcible obligation is doomed to failure.

The interlocutors also conferred on several other matters of mutual interest.
