YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan will never give up the “dead souls” in the election lists.

Opposition Armenian National Congress National Assembly (ANC NA) Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan on Friday stated the aforesaid at a briefing.

He said this as he commented on the four non-ruling NA factions’ (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) twelve-point demands from the government.

As per Manukyan, these demands can be fulfilled in the case of political will and the courage to turn down “full wallets;” that is, election bribe.

“[But] he [Sargsyan] will [rather] cut his [own] hand, but he will not sign the law that the actual voters’ lists be issued after the voting,” the ANC MP said.

In this case, as per Manukyan, it will become clear that not 1.5 million, but rather 800-900 thousand people actually participated in the elections.

“And for the authorities this means being deprived of money, particular oligarchs, [and] button pressers in the parliament. At that time the RPA’s [i.e., the ruling Republican Party] ‘plaster’ will start to ‘spill.’ Let them decide whom they will save: the country, or their party?” Aram Manukyan noted.
