Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, a group of pilgrims who had come to the Motherland from Houston, Texas, of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern).  

Welcoming the pilgrims’ visit to the Mother See, Karekin II extended his blessings and appreciation to them, and urged them to continue to effectively organize their national and spiritual lives and to educate their children with a patriotic spirit.

The Catholicos underscored the Diaspora Armenians’ pilgrimages to the homeland, Armenia, since, as per Karekin II, these pilgrimages renew the Diaspora Armenians’ national and spiritual aspirations.   

The Catholicos also recalled his patriarchal visits to Houston and, in particular, his talks with the city’s Armenian community youth.
