YEREVAN. – The Armenian authorities are not going to retreat from the earlier intentions to introduce private funded pension system, an activist of “I am against” movement Hakob Arshakyan told reporters.
“We are trying to fight against the bill by any actions and measures,” Arshakyan said.
The new bill, he added, reflects all elements against which the activists were fighting: discrimination at work in state and private sectors and refusal from cumulative pension payments.
The pension reform was discussed by activists and representatives of four parliamentary forces aty the National Assembly on Monday.
The new bill will be presented in the parliament during special session on June 18.
