YEREVAN. – Ukrainian citizen Ganna S., 26, has been charged with shoplifting in Yerevan Mall, the Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Judicial Information System.

The incident took place on April 2 at around 8pm. Ganna had picked up several clothes in a store in the mall, and had gone to the fitting room. While trying them on, however, Ganna had removed the security devices on three of these clothes, hid these devices behind the mirror of the fitting room, and put the clothes into a bag in an attempt to steal clothes worth 18,000 drams (approx. $44). But the store employees caught the Ukrainian while leaving the store.      

Ganna S. is charged with criminal conduct, and a signature bond on not leaving Armenia is set as restraining order.  

The case is pending in court.
