Armenia’s City of Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan on Tuesday received Mayor Zareh Sinanyan of Glendale, California, USA.

Balasanyan saluted the high-level guest for his visit to Gyumri, and expressed the hope that this trip will help boost relations between Gyumri and Glendale.  

In response, the Armenian Mayor of Glendale noted that he is happy to be in Armenia’s second largest city, especially given the fact that he attaches great importance to Gyumri’s role in and importance for Armenia. As per Sinanyan, closer cooperation between Gyumri and Glendale is realistic.      

Next, Samvel Balasanyan introduced his colleague a package, on declaring Gyumri and Glendale sister cities, to study and offer recommendations.

Subsequently, Glendale Mayor Zareh Sinanyan answered the reporters’ questions.
