YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Assembly (NA) special session, which kicked off Wednesday at noon, has been suspended for twenty minutes.
Opposition Armenian National Congress NA Faction Head Levon Zurabyan made such a request expressing dissatisfaction that the MPs were not allowed to get familiarized with the bills that are on the session’s agenda.
“We ask [you] to interrupt the session for twenty minutes, and we want to meet with the Speaker of Parliament—with the format of the heads of factions—to discuss this situation,” Zurabyan stated.
The new amendments in the Law on Funded Pensions, and several bills, which relate to a special working procedure for the small and medium-sized businesses in Armenia, are expected to be discussed at the special NA session.
