Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday received Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

During the talk, it was noted that Russia-Azerbaijan bilateral relations are successfully and rapidly developing, reported the APA news agency of Azerbaijan.  

Lavrov informed that during his meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, they exchanged views on the upcoming summit of the Caspian littoral countries, last year’s meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents, and the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group. 

He said they also discussed common issues faced by the two countries in the UN, OSCE, and the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, which is currently chaired by Azerbaijan.
