YEREVAN. – Once 66 MPs were registered, the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia was able to continue its special session on Thursday, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the parliament.

NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan noted that the parliamentary opposition had attempted to thwart the ordinary course of the special session. 

“I want to inform the MPs who are late that if the special session continues this way, it will also continue on Friday and Saturday, and it may continue also on Monday and Tuesday,” Sahakyan warned.  

A few minutes later, however, the parliament leader was forced to interrupt the speaker at the rostrum, and to address the MPs of the four non-ruling NA factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) who, despite being in the NA Sessions’ Hall, had not registered and even held their own meeting.  
“Hold your sessions outside the Sessions’ Hall!” Galust Sahakyan told them. 

Unregistered MPs cannot pose questions to the speaker at the rostrum and vote in a National Assembly session.
