YEREVAN. – The majority of Armenians oppose introduction of the cumulative pension plan, MP from Prosperous Armenia Vartan Oskanian said in the parliament.
Addressing the speaker, Oskanian noted that the four parliamentary political forces are opposing the reform and the bill.
“You see that 80% of Armenia are against. The majority of lawmakers, except for MPs elected from single-mandate constituencies, are against. The majority is against. Why don't you take this into account?” he wonders.
Earlier the National Assembly adopted the bill on making amendments to the Law on Funded Pensions in the first NA reading. The opposition accused ruling party deputies of voting for their absent colleagues.
