YEREVAN. – Russia is ready to make contribution to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart.

Asked about possible assistance from Moscow in the context of improving relations with Ankara, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian recalled that Lavrov was present at the signing of Armenia-Turkey protocols in Zurich. The Minister said Russia's position was reflected in numerous statements.

Sergey Lavrov, for his part, emphasized readiness of the Russian side that was expressed before and after the signing of the protocols, to assist in the normalization of relations. He also noted readiness to assist in building infrastructure. At the same time, Lavrov said that the parties have the last word.
