The motion to suspend Armenia's voting right is on the agenda of the PACE bureau meeting, PACE  president Anne Brasseur said during a press conference on Monday.

The motion proposed by the Azerbaijani delegate will be on the agenda of Friday meeting, she added.

Asked about territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Anne Brasseur said the Assembly had adopted resolution several years ago.

“We are defending territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Territorial integrity of all member states is an absolute parity. We will continue to work on the issue,” PACE president said.

The initiative on introducing sanctions against Armenian delegation, as expected, was voiced by a group of European MPs lobbying Azerbaijani interests. The experts believe this is an attempt to divert attention away from the deteriorating situation over human rights in Azerbaijan.
