As a result of the meetings with the participants in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) session, the members of the Armenian delegation to PACE have come to the conclusion that the Azerbaijani proposal to apply sanctions against the Armenian delegation will not succeed in PACE.

Armenia National Assembly Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan, who is also head of the Armenian parliamentary delegation to PACE, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am

In her conviction, simply an attempt is made to take advantage of the events that have occurred in connection with Russia, and with the intent to get some dividends.

“I don’t think that this proposal will be adopted, since the European delegates are studying it and trying to understand whether there is any line of reasoning to implement it,” Naghdalyan noted.

She also stressed that the aforementioned proposal is far from being comprehensive.
