YEREVAN. – Thank God that Russia and the transatlantic union, which are the two conflicting poles, at least do not have apparent differences in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.    

Armenia’s opposition Free Democrats Party Vice-Chairwoman Anush Sedrakyan stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday.

According to her, if we draw parallels with Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Crimea, we must take into account that Karabakh is an exceptional case when the whole process of liberation was based solely on the topic of the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh. 

“Second, the conflict between Russia and the transatlantic union was apparent. [But] in the case of the Karabakh issue, the [two] poles are not in an overt conflict, but rather a policy of [making] passes [to one another] is conducted, if we speak in football terms,” Sedrakyan noted, in particular.

As per the Free Democrats Party official, Armenia needs to realize that at least the Karabakh issue is beyond the general logic of the most recent territorial issues.
