The summit of the European Union (EU) will get underway in the latter half of the day on Thursday.

On the next day in Brussels, the heads of the EU countries and governments will start working on the work agenda of the event.

The first point on the agenda is the signing of the EU Association Agreement with Moldova and Georgia, and the signing of the economic section of the same agreement with Ukraine.

In addition, whether or not the EU will decide to implement a third degree of sanctions against Russia will depend on the developments taking place in Ukraine in the recent days and hours.

These sanctions refer to a ban on financial and economic exports and imports, reported the Deutsche Welle Russian service.
