ALEPPO. – Syrian-Armenian military serviceman Sevag Eulmessekian (born in 1986) was killed during the military operations between the Syrian army and the terrorists in Syria’s Idlib Governorate.  

The press service of the Diocese of Aleppo of the Armenian Apostolic Church informed the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It is noted that although the Armenian soldier had died on May 25, this news has become known only now. 

Eulmessekian’s funeral service will be held on Friday at the Saint Sarkis Armenian Church in Damascus. 

Before the start of the bloody events in Syria, 60-70 thousand Armenians lived in the country, and more than half of them resided in Aleppo.
