YEREVAN. – The judicial system in Armenia must be reformed step by step, since it is a conservative system and, in general, the jurists likewise are conservative. 

Armenia Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan told the aforesaid to reporters on Friday.  

“The problems truly are numerous, and the judicial system is a complex system. It’s impossible to expect quick changes. I myself, as a minister, expect long-term results,” he said.  

According to the minister, however, Armenia’s judicial system is not as bad as its image.

“There are questions, problems which are objective and not linked to the judges’ actions. The judicial system is related to the citizens’ interests, rights, and, naturally, there always will be numerous complains,” Manukyan stressed.
