Georgia and Moldova have signed Association Agreement with EU during the summit in Brussels on Friday.

President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso were representing the EU.

Georgia was represented by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Moldova by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca.

The signing ceremony was attended by the heads of governments and the heads of states of 28 EU members. 

Ukraine's Petro Poroshenko signed the economic part of the Association Agreement.

The agreements will have to be ratified in the parliaments of Georgia, Moldova, European Parliament and parliaments of EU member states.
