YEREVAN. – The situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is relatively calm as of Saturday, the Armenia defense minister’s press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As per Hovhannisyan, unlike Friday evening, the situation is calmer at present.
According to him, Azerbaijan had violated the ceasefire agreement numerous times on Friday evening.
And in response to the Azerbaijani claims of the Armenian side’s “shelling of [Azerbaijani] villages,” Hovhannisyan stressed that the Armenian side never opens fire in the direction of settlements.
“In contrast to the Azerbaijani side,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan added.
