The Swiss chairmanship seeks to promote dialogue and confidence building in the South Caucasus, Chairperson-in-Office Didier Burkhalter said during the OSCE PA session in Baku.

President of the Swiss Confederation touched upon Karabakh conflict during his address to the PA OSCE delegates.

“In the Nagorno-Karabakh context, we hope that an intensified and structured negotiation process can be re-launched in the nearest future. We are also enabling the exchange between high-level mediators and civil society actors involved in dialogue processes,” Burkhalter said.

He also noted that he had recently visited Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia where he had very substantial discussions.
