YEREVAN. – Armenia wants to build the second unit of the capital city Yerevan Thermal Power Plant (TPP), Energy and Natural Resources Minister Yervand Zakharyan told reporters on Wednesday.

In his words, the ministry is seeking respective investors.

Japan, which had provided a loan for the plant’s first energy unit, also is considered an investor.

“We are interested in this construction, since the energy received in the Yerevan TPP is quite cheap,” Zakharyan noted.
