YEREVAN. – Members of “We are against electricity price rise” initiative have called on Armenian citizens to switch off the lights at 10p.m. on July 5 for an hour as a sign of protest, the initiative wrote on Facebook.
As of August 1, the electricity fee in Armenia will rise by 9.9 percent. The Public Services Regulatory Commission on Tuesday held a meeting and unanimously decided to increase the electricity price by 3.85 drams.
