YEREVAN. – Involvement of an international regional security organization into all shelling cases is inexpedient, political analyst Adjar Kurtov said during a space bridge dedicated to modern security challenges in CIS area.
Kurtov is convinced that unpleasant episodes of bombardment occur near the sites of military actions, or if the parties are in a state of confrontation.
“The 1994 agreement was a ceasefire deal not a peaceful agreement. This should be resolved through diplomatic channels. Such cases are solved by the statements, by recalling ambassadors,” he added.
Two Armenian soldier were killed in violations of the ceasefire by Azerbaijani snipers on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan in early June. The provocations of the Azerbaijani side on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border have increased sharply.
