ALEPPO. – Two Armenians sustained injuries Thursday as a result of the terrorist shelling of the Armenian-populated Nor Kiugh (New Village, in Armenian) district of Aleppo, Syria.

Harout Chobarian and Tavit Meyhandjian were injured in the blast, Aleppo ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party news service informed.    

On June 16, an Armenian woman had died as a result of another terrorist shelling in Aleppo. 

Before the start of the bloody events in Syria, 60-70 thousand Armenians lived in the country, and more than half of them resided in Aleppo.
