YEREVAN. – The constitutional reforms in Armenia are those important changes which are not controlled by one or two persons, regardless of their position and the office they hold.
Ruling Republican Party National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction Head Vahram Baghdasaryan noted the above-said at a press conference on Saturday adding that time dictates its demands.
In response to the query as to whether the current Armenian authorities intend to extend their power by way of constitutional reforms, the RPA MP stressed:“[President] Serzh Sargsyan has clearly expressed his position on constitutional reforms. I believe that the President of the republic does not have ambitions of extending his power. I believe that the country’s progress is what’s important for any president.”
