YEREVAN. – Arsen Khojoyan, the Armenian citizen who had been returned from captivity in Azerbaijan last year, is in relatively good condition, he is not running a fever, and he is feeling fine.

Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed about the aforesaid from the capital city Yerevan’s Scientific-Medical Center of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

They added that the repatriated captive is undergoing in-patient treatment at the center.  

“Psoriasis is a disease that repeats, and a need arises for regular treatment,” said the treating physician. “Now, everything is normal with Arsen. There is only a problem with the nerves, [but] this is understandable, too; it is a consequence of stress.”

Arsen Khojoyan, a then-23-year-old resident of Verin Karmiraghbyur village of Armenia’s Tavush Region, had crossed the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and taken prisoner on March 7, 2014. With mediation by the International Committee of the Red Cross, however, Khojoyan was repatriated on April 10 of the same year. But he complains of physical and psychological health issues ever since his return from captivity.

The repatriated Armenian captive was admitted to hospital on August 30, 2014, and diagnosed with vulgar psoriasis. He was discharged from hospital on September 12 of the same year, but a week later, he had felt ill again and readmitted to hospital.
