World-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, whose designs include the London Olympic Aquatic Centre, has died aged 65, RIA Novosti reports.

The British architect of Iranian descent died as a result of a heart attack in hospital in Miami, where she was treated for bronchitis.

Hadid’s buildings are located in different parts of the world. In fact, she was the first woman to receive the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) gold medal. The buildings designed by her can be seen in the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, U.S., Japan, as well as in the Asian countries. She was also the designer of the Dominion tower business center, whose construction is currently underway in Moscow.
