YEREVAN. – While the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group Co-Chairs were coming out of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia on Saturday, the US Co-Chair, Ambassador James Warlick, took out his smartphone and began to video record the protesters.

The co-chairs immediately got in their vehicles and tried to leave quickly, breaking through the crowd with difficulty, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from on location.

Even though the journalists attempted to ask Warlick some questions, he responded to none.

Hundreds of protesters outside the ministry building saw the co-chairs off with the flags of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), and chanting “recognition,” “Karabakh is ours,” and “Recognize Artsakh.”

Also, they held relevant signs in Armenian, English, and Russian.

The demonstrators were protesting against the apathy by the international community and the absence of the co-chairs’ targeted statements in response to Azerbaijan’s aggression. In addition, the picketers demanded that Artsakh be included in the Karabakh peace talks as a negotiating side.
