WhatsApp has released a desktop application, the company said on its blog.

The client for the desktop will be available for Windows 8 and newer versions , as well as for Mac OS 10.9+. It will be automatically synchronized with the mobile app messenger.

The application is available on the official website of the company. Opening the installed application, it is necessary to scan the QR-code by means of the smartphone on which the messenger is already installed. The desktop application version will also have a support for native desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more.
