The Japanese producer of electronics Sony Corporation recalls more than 1,700 Panasonic batteries used in Vaio laptops, because of a risk of ignition, reads the statement of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, reports RIA Novosti. According to the statement, the lithium-ion batteries can overheat, which might bring to fire or cause burns to the consumers . The recall concderns the batteries installed in 18 models of Sony Vaio’s portable computers  . The batteries of Panasonic were sold separately and were installed during repairs .
