The British physicists have made a step closer to the creation of an invisible raincoat. According to Scientific Reports, scientists have managed to make the convex object look flat to electromagnetic waves. " We demonstrated a practical possibility to use nanocomposites to control surface wave propagation through advanced additive manufacturing. Perhaps most importantly, the approach used can be applied to other physical phenomena that are described by wave equations, such as acoustics, "said a scientist  of Queen Mary University of London Luigi La Spada, adding that their discovery is enormous and can lead to an industrial revolution.

A nano material discovered by the British scientists is a unique 7 layer “sandwich” made of dielectric particles. The layers are arranged in such a way that any electromagnetic radiation which falls on them can transform.
