CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg does not plan to combine WhatsApp and Messenger, reports the  Informing.

In his opinion, both applications have different purpose of communication. They also have different lists of contacts, therefore, there is no need to combine them. According to him, for people it is usually convenient to communicate with friends via WhatsApp, whereas the Messenger is rarely used. Facebook usually is used for keeping contacts of people, the users studied in college with. Thus, they use WhatsApp to communicate with them. At the same time, the users want to congratulate the birthday of their old acquaintances, and here the Messenger comes in use.
