STEPANAKERT. – Within the framework of the policy of preservation of national identity, reproduction and propagation of national and traditional values as well as promotion of international cooperation, the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) is launching a new international project, the Artsakh EthnoFest.

Artsakh EthnoFest is an international festival to be held annually in the NKR, with the participation of representatives of various countries the NKR Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Each festival will have its own frame and will feature a particular trend of national culture.

The first festival, named Taste of Country and representing national cuisines of a variety of countries, will be organized from Thursday to Saturday. Skilled chefs and people of different professions from France, Romania, Moldova, South Korea, Syria, Georgia, Armenia, and Artsakh will take part in this event. They will cook and serve their national dishes to guests.

The event will be held on Thursday at Isahaki Aghbyur (Isahak’s Spring) resort in Shushi town. French crêpes, Romanian mamaliga, Korean dishes with rice, Syrian salads and Oriental sweets, Georgian satsivi together with the symbol of Artsakh cuisine—zhingyalov hats, as well as kurkut and traditional barbecue will be presented. Foreign guests will be given the opportunity to take part in the zhingyalov hats masterclass and contest.

The festival will be accompanied by a mesmerizing concert.
