Every seventh child in world is breathing toxic air, the pollution level of which is more than 6 times higher than the norm, writes the UNICEF report. Each year about 600 thousand children under 5 die due to diseases that occur because of air pollution. Overall, about 2 billion children are living in areas where air pollution levels exceed the norm. 320 million out of them are from South Asia, 520 million from Africa, 450 million from East Asia and the Pacific.
