make preferableYEREVAN. – The 16-year-old worker also suffered burns as a result of Saturday morning’s fire at a gas station in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
A vehicle (driver H. T, 56) that was at the gas station, about 9.6 tons of gasoline that was stored in the reservoir of this gas station, and two fuel dispensers were completely destroyed by the fire, whereas two offices were partially destroyed, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Police informed that the driver of the said vehicle had parked his car to fill it with gasoline, and there was an explosion for yet unknown reasons.
The driver was injured in the ensuing fire. He was taken to hospital, whose staff informed us that he had sustained burns, but he is not in critical condition, and he has been transferred to the Research Center of Radiation Medicine and Burns.
As reported earlier, the MES received a call on Saturday at 10:08am. Accordingly, a fire had broken out at a gasoline station in capital city Yerevan, and rescuers were needed.
Crisis Management Center quick response teams and operative groups as well as four fire brigades were dispatched to the scene.
The fire was put out at 10:30am.
