YouTube users are browsing a billion hours of online videos daily. This was announced by YouTube vice president of engineering Cristos Goodrow , RIA Novosti reported.

“We hit a big milestone on that journey: people around the world are now watching a billion hours of YouTube’s incredible content every single day!” he wrote. “If you were to sit and watch a billion hours of YouTube, it would take you over 100,000 years. 100,000 years ago, our ancestors were crafting stone tools and migrating out of Africa while mammoths and mastodons roamed the Earth.”

Google Corporation owns the Internet video hosting service YouTube, and since  October 2015  it became a part of the Alphabet holding. The company gained control over Google Life Sciences, Calico, Sidewalk Labs, Nest, Google Ventures, Google Capital and Google X. The co-founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin took the position of General Director and President of Alphabet.
