Egyptian archaeologists conducting excavations in the El Minya province, discovered an ancient “bicycle” that offers a new version of death of the pharaoh of Ancient Egypt Tutankhamun, who supposedly ruled in 1332-1323 BC, Tass reports.

“The discovery provides an actual confirmation of the new version of Tutankhamun’s death, which previously seemed questionable,” Abdallah al-Hems province official said. 

According to him, near the ruins of the ancient capital city of Ahetonon, the burial of Tutankhamun’s closest adviser, who was responsible for the security and internal order of the royal family, was discovered. Next to the basalt sarcophagus, archaeologists found a box made of Lebanese cedar, in which an ancient two-wheeled “bicycle” has been placed.

In the description it was mentioned that the object was designed “for accelerated movement, entertainment and fun of the most radiant pharaoh, his wives and children.”

Thus, it is believed that Tutankhamun, the son of Akhenaten, who took the throne of the ruler of Ancient Egypt after his father, died of blood poisoning after he broke his left leg. Now experts insist they have received evidence of the root cause of this disease: it can be argued that the young pharaoh fractured leg as a result of the fall from the ancient bicycle.
