YEREVAN. - Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian (ORO) Bloc will remain in the political field and form a wide opposition.

ORO Bloc leader, former defense minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan told the aforementioned to Radio Liberty on Tuesday.

“[Although] we are not currently included in the parliament, we will definitely carry out our activity outside it, which also means that the formation of wide opposition will enable to impact these authorities, who will listen to the people and make correct decision for the future of the country. We are holding active discussions with the political organizations and NGOs included in ORO Bloc,” Ohanyan noted.

He also noted that the Bloc leadership is actively discussing its future activity.

“Currently we are holding discussions with the leaders, analyzing what happened, as well as our stay in the political field and our cooperation. What my colleagues, the leaders of Heritage and Consolidation parties, said is in conformity with what I think. I think the people who played a great role in the years of the Armenian independence and engaged in politics—and especially me, who engaged in military and political activity— will use their capacities and serve their country. The discussions are underway within the political parties of the bloc and NGOs. We will decide on the future formats and principles. We plan different party events,” Ohanyan noted.

Apart from this, the former defense minister added that the parliament doesn’t express the view of all the strata of the society, which requires non-parliamentary activity Furthermore, he stressed that that activity will be carried out by ORO and within the framework of the Armenian legislation.
