The Competition Authority and the UK market can’t start researching the influence of Facebook on Brexit , The Express Tribune reported.
Chief Executive Andrea Coscelli said parliamentary committees had asked the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to examine Facebook’s role in UK regarding concerns about privacy and the use of personal data.
“We have now received requests from a number of government representatives and committees to look into things like digital advertising. We need to have clarity on the timing of exit, because for us it’s going to be a very significant event if there is no deal in a few weeks time,” he told reporters.
