YEREVAN. – If they want to show that the Istanbul Convention is against violence, let us adopt an Armenian, national law against violence. Opposition Prosperous Armenia faction leader Gagik Tsarukyan said this in a conversation with journalists today in the National Assembly.

“We say that if the fight today is against violence, no problem; let's create our own [law against violence], impose triple, quadruple punishments against any violence,” Tsarukyan said. "But we don't accept that with subtexts."
