French minister of culture Franck Riester has been diagnosed with coronavirus, France24 reported. 

"The minister tested positive today" after displaying symptoms, the ministry said.

Riester spent several days last week at the National Assembly, where five virus cases were confirmed earlier.

There are 1,412 confirmed cases, and 25 deaths in France amid the outbreak, said the head of the country's public health service, Jerome Salomon, on Monday.
