The number of COVID-19 case in Germany has exceeded 171 thousand, over 7.6 thousand people died, according to the Robert Koch Institute.

More than 148 thousand of those infected have already recovered, RIA Novosti reported.

The largest number of infections was recorded in Bavaria (44 802), North Rhine-Westphalia (35 555), and Baden-Wurttemberg (33 518). While 6,298 cases have been recorded in Berlin.
