Xiaomi subsidiary Redmi has planned to release a smartphone for games, the top manager of the company Lu Weibing noted.

According to Weibing, Redmi intends to focus on esports in 2021. The company will release a flagship smartphone aimed specifically at gamers. The Redmi noted that this will be the first such device in the brand's lineup.

The company representative did not disclose the details of the smartphone but noted that it will be released with the flagship Dimensity 1200 chip. The processor from the Taiwanese company MediaTek is made according to six-nanometer process technology, consists of eight Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores, and has a nine-core Mali-G77 graphics accelerator. The chip supports 5G and works with neural networks.
