By the beginning of May, one in five people in Germany will be vaccinated against COVID-19, health minister Jens Spahn noted when visiting one of the vaccination centers in Berlin.
In the first three months of 2021, only 10 percent of the population was vaccinated in Germany, DW reported.
In the second quarter of 2021, the pace of the vaccination campaign is set to accelerate, Spahn said.
