The world's largest iceberg recently broke away from Antarctica, according to data obtained from the Earth observation satellite Sentinel-1, RIA Novosti reported.

According to information on the website of the European Space Agency (ESA), the area of ​​the ice floe reaches approximately 4,320 square kilometers. It is slightly larger than the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Scientists noted that the iceberg, designated A-76, is 170 kilometers long and 25 kilometers wide.
