Saudi Arabia has confirmed that it will only allow access to certain facilities and services domestically to those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

The State Press Agency of Saudi Arabia, citing an official source in the Ministry of the Interior, said that from August 1, 2021, vaccination will become necessary to participate in any economic, commercial, cultural, recreational, or sports activity; cultural, scientific, social or recreational activities; joining any public or private organization; admission to public or private educational institutions; use of public transport

The Kingdom will use the Tawakkalna app to check the immunization status of citizens and expatriates.
