In the United States, a man has survived after spending 17 days in the desert, ABC News reported.
Harry Burleigh, 69, went fishing on May 6, but did not return home. His car was discovered on May 8. Rescuers found only the remains of the shelters that he built while wandering in the desert. The search officers followed in his footsteps. In the afternoon of May 23, the man was found in one of these shelters.
According to local authorities, the condition of the man was stable, he only complained of minor pain when walking. The man was taken to the hospital by helicopter, where he was examined. He is now recovering at a medical facility.
