The Greek authorities will pay cash rewards to young people vaccinated against the COVID-19 to accelerate the pace of vaccinations, Reuters reported.

According to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, after the first vaccination, young people will receive € 150.

Thus, more than 900,000 Greeks aged 18 to 25 will be able to receive the payment. The money can be spent on summer vacations and cultural events. Also in August, vaccinated young people will be able to use the Internet for free.

In Greece, 420,905 people were infected with the coronavirus, of which 12,655 patients died.
