The authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have decided to remove from April 19 the ban on traveling outside the state for citizens who have not received a coronavirus vaccine, said Taher Al Ameri, spokesman for the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the UAE News Agency reported on Wednesday.

According to him, the update of the protocol for the departure of unvaccinated UAE nationals provides for permission to travel abroad for those who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus or have not received a booster dose of drugs.

Besides, unvaccinated persons aged under 16 entering the UAE will be exempted from undergoing PCR testing upon arrival in the country.

Since January 10, 2022, citizens and residents of the UAE have been prohibited from leaving the state without a certificate of full immunization against coronavirus with any of the drugs approved in the country.
