The organizers of the festival in Argentina have broken the Guinness world record for a pancake with a diameter of about 5 meters, United Press International reported.

At the 22nd provincial festival of pancakes and tortillas in Merced there was presented a huge pancake made of 1199 kg of flour soaked in 1599 kg of melted fat, Interfax reported.

The resulting pancake was 4.8 meters in diameter. Organizers said it was so huge that it would qualify for the Guinness World Record as the largest pancake.

The huge pancake was cut into portions and served to festival visitors.
